Laura U Design Collective is a leading residential building design & interior design firm with offices in Houston, Texas and Aspen, Colorado. Founded by award-winning interior designer, Laura Umansky, and led by Creative Director, Gina Elkins, the company’s renowned style is equally beautiful and functional, bridging the gap between high design and practical living. This full-service, multi-disciplinary firm specializes in a "wholistic" approach and offers services from foundation-to-furnishings.

At Laura U, we believe strongly in providing our clients with a warm and welcoming home. The rooms we design for homeowners are livable and elevated. As a firm we are highly collaborative. The design team accommodates client preference's while maintaining a strong design concept.

Laura Umansky founded the Laura U Design Collective in 2006. This quaint boutique and interior design studio offered furnishings and design to Laura’s Houston-based clientele. This humble beginning launched the international, full-service architectural and interior design practice we are known for today.

For 15 years, Laura and her growing team built a reputation for elegant interiors that were bright, bold and contrasting. In 2020, her firm evolved once more: the Laura U Design Collective is a multi-disciplinary studio with a diverse team from a variety of backgrounds, including interior design, architecture, and graphic design.
Laura has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Houston.
