Gucci

Gucci

Inspired by aristocratic Londoner style, Guccio Gucci founded his flagship store in his native Italy in 1921. With a focus on leather goods, many of the brand’s early devotees were horsemen drawn in from the local countryside. The cliental had obvious influence on the brand’s image, as Gucci pieces are similar to that of Jacques Adnet; playing off equestrian motifs like saddles and horse bits. Still, as proven by their wildly embellished (and popular) flora print, there is a rhapsodic quality to Gucci; one which defies proper convention and endlessly allures.
