Shabs Beigh is a Cheshire (England) based artist of Indian origin. He started his art career as a cartoonist illustrator 25 years ago, and over the years he progressed onto painting expressionist abstracts, impressionistic landscapes and impressionistic drawings of animals. Shabs has a biased passion for nature - Many of his drawings focus on bulls and bison, while many of his paintings are inspired by seascapes/landscapes that he's discovered whilst on holiday. Shabs is a born artist, and paints every day in his studio in Altrincham.
His favourite medium is acrylic on canvas and his choice of work is mainly abstract paintings. He has an uncanny ability to convey the essence of the subject he is painting, and works at a fast pace. Watching him paint is like watching a matador in a bullfight - He attacks his canvas, steps back to observe, and then goes back at it. By nature Shabs is an intense, compassionate, vibrant and full of life character. He is currently selling his artworks through a gallery in Cheshire, Saatchi, Paul Smith Design, at exhibitions across England and in USA, and on his own website: www.paintingsandprints.co.uk
His first solo exhibition was in Delhi, India in an Australian and New Zealand bank. Since then, he has done another solo exhibition in England, and exhibited at lots of group exhibitions in England and United States. His clients are scattered all over the globe, with artworks in different corporate and individual collections across India, England and United States. Over the years he has sold a range of artworks (paintings, digital art, prints, murals) to five star hotels, architects, interior designers and many individual collectors. He also does a lot of commission work, which can vary from murals to fine art.
