With an enviable catalog, Knoll Furniture was the unrelenting vision of Hans Knoll—and in later years—his wife Florence. Although the initial plan was to import furniture from Europe, Knoll redirected their attention stateside following the outbreak of WWII. Since then, Knoll has partnered with Modernist greats like Mies van der Rohe and Eero Saarinen. The results—not surprisingly—have been most successful. Knoll pieces include the Barcelona chair, Tulip table, Brno chair, Model 71 chair… (you get the idea—it’s one very long list).
