Holophane

Holophane

Derived from the Greek words “Holos” and “Phanein,” Holophane literally means “to appear completely luminous.” Their trick was prismatic optics—or the idea that a globe covered with a series of horizontal lines divinely dictated the way in which light was thrown. Yes, Holophane pieces are a bit more commercial than, say, Frederick Cooper, but with their deco-industrial appearance and full moon-worthy radiance, they’ll—quite frankly— light you up.
