Jarontiques was conceived at the Brooklyn Flea, where Jaron Cupak began selling his wares in 2008. Over the next few years, the business evolved, and Jaron expanded his reach by exhibiting his merchandise at the Stella Pier Shows (both Modern and Americana) and setting up a permanent space within a prestigious art and antiques gallery in Stamford, Connecticut.

Eventually, Jaron gave up his career to follow his dream of restoring and selling vintage full-time, brought his wife, Sharan, on board, and started Jarontiques – the physical store in 2011 on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn Heights.

In May of 2016, they moved into a much larger showroom housed within the East Williamsburg Industrial Park, where they continue to specialize in Mid-Century Modern furniture, art, and decorative items with a lesser emphasis on Americana and Folk Art. The showroom is presently open by appointment only while they finish up the already year long renovation of the space.

Revolutionary designer, Florence Knoll’s philosophy that ‘Good Design is Good Business’ has become the business ethos: Jarontiques pridefully passes on quality and simplicity to its customers. The craftsmanship and sheer artistry that were of the utmost importance to these designers from conception to application is revelatory. Jarontiques hopes to provide customers with a piece of the past that continues to inspire the future of design.
