more Anne Curry is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. Her work is exhibited at major exhibition gardens around the UK and can be found in collections across Europe. Her work was exhibited at the Palazzo Mora at the Venice Biennale 2017.
Drawing inspiration from plant forms, her work evokes the power of life at work in nature. At its core are the curves, spirals of growth, the unfolding of leaves and flowers, the bursting of seed pods (as here) - all of which imply controlled movement, a disciplined and mathematical progression. In this piece there is a powerful sense of the immense energy within, what would in nature appear, a static object. The photographs illustrates this sculpture in a resin casting in the artist's own sculpture garden.
Please note the following:
The sculpture can be purchased without the base (and the cost of the base discounted).
The price and images are of a resin casting but orders are freshly cast either in resin or bronze (bronze price is quoted on requested) with a variety of coloured finish options for both. Here the finish is in a blue grey tone, a colour which is particularly well suited to warmer climes and its light.
Lead times are approximately 6 weeks for resin, and 12 weeks for bronze, confirmed on enquiry.
Charlotte Bowater of Guilded will walk interested buyers through the process, ensuring everything including planning delivery is arranged to suit the individual.
