When it comes to Richard Schultz Furniture and his famed Petal table, there is no need for petal-pulling—one cannot help but love them all.
A master of material, Richard Schultz has had a most successful career in designing outdoor furniture. In the 1960s, a close partnership with Harry Bertoia at Knoll led to Richard Schultz pieces like the Petal table. Designed to partner with Bertoia’s eponymous diamond chairs, the Petal table is at once delicate— and yet simultaneously— a bold statement in Mid-Century Modernism. Likewise, these are elements that permeate throughout all of Schultz’s work—from his 1966 Leisure Line to his later Topiary pieces.
