Brilliantly bright, artfully shaped, and on occasion, divinely colored—Orrefors consistently reminds us that glass is the ultimate touch of class.
Like fellow glass company Kosta Boda, Orrefors Glass was founded in Sweden. Originally a producer of household glass, Orrefors didn’t transition into Art Glass until it hired on artisans Simon Gates and Edward Halt in the 1920s. Halt had studied under Matisse and brought a fittingly organic bent to the company's design, while Gates favored classical, geometric designs that captured the Deco flavor of the era. Regardless of design, Orrefors pieces showcase a glorious radiance that will surely illuminate any space.
