John Stuart, Inc. was an American furniture company founded by John Stuart, Herbert Rothschild and Herman Gelbin in 1934 that thrived throughout the mid-1900s. With high-end showrooms in Michigan and New York, their products were produced in Grand Rapids. John Stuart furniture was mainly focused in Early English, Georgian, American, and French Revival style reproductions, before later moving on to create more Modern residential furniture with Scandinavian influences. Aside from designing pieces of his own namesake company, John Stuart also worked with other brands, most notably Mount Airy Furniture Company and John Widdicomb Furniture.
