Alongside Keith Haring and other notorious American graffiti artists of the 1980s, Jean-Michel Basquiat’s art helped to break the barrier between urban and fine art. Prominent Jean Michel-Basquiat decor includes an array of collaborations with famed pop artist Andy Warhol. Basquiat succumbed to a drug overdose in 1988 and his work, Untitled (1982), sold in auction for over $57 million.
