Let’s review—Fritz Hansen, once the designer of his own exceptionally attractive furniture, is now the producer of other’s exceptionally attractive furniture—including, but not limited to: Arne Jacobsen's Egg Chair.
Recognized to be among Knoll and Herman Miller as one of the most prestigious furniture production companies operating today, Fritz Hansen Furniture began in 1872 when Danish founder Fritz Hansen introduced a collection steam-bent wood chairs. Quite dandy in itself until Hansen fatefully paired up with Arne Jacobsen in 1934. While the collaboration produced plenty of successes—the Egg Chair, Swan Chair and Seven Series among them— Fritz Hansen décor now owns the rights to other Scandinavian masters like Hans Wegner and Ole Wanscher as well. Indeed— jewels to envy.
