One cannot go wrong with Finn Juhl Furniture—From the "Poet sofa" to the "Chieftain’s chair," they all exude magnificent character.
A trained architect who had a notable part in the founding of Danish Modernism, Finn Juhl’s legacy is sometimes clipped by the showier designs of Arne Jacobsen and Hans Wegner. And yet Finn Juhl pieces are fully deserving of their own exhibition—sculptural, with an eye for harmonious line and masterful ergonomics, these are pieces that invite the eye back for a second look. But perhaps the biggest endorsement of all? Juhl furnished his Copenhagen home with nothing but his own designs.
