Chris Jussel is no stranger to starting a phenomena. As the original host of PBS’s Antiques Roadshow, Jussel catapulted to fame as the scholarly, but down-to-earth appraiser who could set the record straight on everything from a 16th-century Milanese parade helmet to a thank you letter penned by, your truly, Jackie Onassis. With its Roulette-like atmosphere (anyone with an attic could be a winner, essentially) and reality TV-friendly format, the show became the late 1990s sleeper hit.
